INCO had entered the metals and minerals field about 12 months before. The number of projects coming up in the GCC countries prompted INCO to work with the prominent EPC contractors in these fields.

Bechtel, Carmeuse, Mertec, Five Solios, Kempe, Rio Tinto Alcan, SNC Lavalin and Hatch are the main EPC and EPCM contractors dedicated for these projects and INCO had the opportunity to work with them on repeated orders. The major field of operations had been,
