The fabrication shops that anchor INCO's tank EPC reputation.
Five workshops in UAE, Oman and Iraq are what let INCO deliver process-plant, tank, and energy-infrastructure scopes end-to-end. Tankage to API 650, pipe spools, structural steel, heavy modules and pressure-vessel scope — fabricated in-house, shipped ready to erect.
Five workshops, one fabrication standard.
Each shop works under the group quality system and draws on the group procurement chain.
Steel fabrication beside the group head office.
General steel fabrication.
Heavy equipment, especially HRSG and modules.
Heavy equipment, especially piping and tank work.
Piping, steel structure and tank fabrication.
Six in-house disciplines, across every workshop.
The disciplines our workshops cover, each delivered in-house under the group quality system.
Tank fabrication — API 650 / 620
Atmospheric and low-pressure tankage, fabricated and erected in-house. The capability that anchors the firm's tank EPC reputation.
- Carbon steel, stainless, and clad
- Floating-roof, fixed-roof, and dome-roof types
- Cryogenic experience — LNG / LIN / LOX scope
Pipe-spool prefabrication
Process and utility pipe spools fabricated in controlled shop conditions and shipped to site as a kit — driving site productivity and weld quality.
- Carbon, stainless, alloy, and exotic materials
- Submerged-arc, GTAW, GMAW, and FCAW processes
- Full PMI, NDE, and post-weld heat treatment in shop
Structural steel
Pipe racks, equipment supports, technological structures, and modular pre-assemblies — fabricated to AISC or EN 1090, painted and shipped ready to erect.
- Galvanising and shop-applied protective coatings
- Bolt-up or weld-up site interface options
- BIM-driven detailing and CNC fabrication
Scaffolding & access
In-house scaffolding service for INCO's own sites and contracted scopes — CISRS-trained crews and group-standard hardware fleet.
- System and tube-and-fitting scaffolds
- Suspended access for tank and stack work
- Engineered designs for non-standard configurations
- Inspection-and-handover regime to client standard
Blast & paint
Surface preparation and protective coatings to client specification — integrated into the fabrication line so coated parts ship straight to site.
- Open-air and enclosed blast-and-paint bays
- Sa 2.5 / Sa 3 surface preparation
- Two- and three-coat epoxy / polyurethane systems
- Coating inspection on every coated batch
Pressure-vessel modifications
Field repairs and shop-based modifications to existing pressure vessels — commonly delivered into refinery and gas-processing turnarounds.
- Repair and re-rating scopes to ASME Section VIII
- Heat-exchanger re-tubing and shell re-builds
- Internal cladding and overlay welding
- Code-compliant documentation pack on closeout
When a principal awards a tank scope to INCO, they're not just buying engineering and construction — they're buying our shop. The control we have over fabrication is what lets us hold the schedule when site conditions move.— Operations Director, INCO Engineering & Construction LLC (Oman)
Qualified to the codes the work demands.
The Sohar facility fabricates to international code — welding qualified to ASME Section IX and AWS D1.1 / D1.6, tankage to API 650 / 620 / 653, pressure-vessel scope to ASME Section VIII — under project-by-project third-party inspection.
Shop-to-site, by sea or road.
Sohar Industrial Port sits 12 km from the workshop gate. The combination of in-shop fabrication, heavy-haul rigging, and direct port access is the logistics pattern we plan around.
For Gulf and East-African deliveries, the typical pattern is: shop-fabricated modules and tank shells loaded onto self-propelled modular transporters at the workshop, hauled directly to the port, sea-fastened, and shipped on roll-on / roll-off or heavy-lift vessels. Site assembly windows are scheduled around the agreed marine arrivals.
For Oman-domestic scopes, modules ship by road on a 24-hour-notice basis. The road network from Sohar to the major project clusters — Salalah, Duqm, Sohar Industrial Estate — is direct.
- Sohar Industrial Port — 12 km from workshop gate
- Heavy-haul SPMT capacity for module shipment
- Sea-fastening engineering performed in-house
- Marine-survey coordination with client / forwarder
- Route surveys for over-dimensional moves
- Customs and export documentation in-house
